The Brief

A raised terrace needed a barrier, but the client didn’t want the garden view blocked. Framed balustrades were never in the running. Frameless glass was the only thing that made sense: no top rail, no posts, glass doing the job on its own.

Why Low-Iron Glass

Regular toughened glass has a green tinge along the edges. Across a full run of balustrade that tinge adds up and dulls the garden behind it. Low-iron glass keeps things clear, so the planting stays the star of the show.

On Site

Base channel goes in first, fixed and levelled against the terrace. Every panel was templated on site rather than off a drawing, because gardens are never square. Then it’s panel by panel: lift, pack, level, check, repeat. No shortcuts. Once the run’s done, everything gets checked again for spacing and alignment before sign off.
